Chatsworth Fine Homes is nominated for two separate projects in the home show which signals spring is around the corner. One home is a modern farmhouse in East Oakville, the other a large french country house in Mississauga.
The “modern farmhouse” design is continuing to be popular with many who want a taste of modern almost industrial design with traditional notes. This home was energy audited for insulation and windows to Net Zero standards and obtained an impressive score on Air tightness. The clients anticipate converting mechanical equipment in the future and adding solar panels to achieve a Net Zero label. The interior sports heated concrete floors and an open airy indoor outdoor feel. The large windows beckon in the surrounding trees and flowers.
The modern kitchen displays simple clean lines with simple monochromatic colour scheme punctuated by bold accents. Despite the large windows the tight energy efficient shell construction although provide a cozy interior!!!
Chatsworth fine Homes provides Net Zero Homes through its sister company Oak Harbour Developments Inc.
Our second build nominated for an award is a french country house style in Mississauga. This family home boasts a lanai, billiard room and huge eat-in Kitchen. The landscaping was conceived around an “oasis” environment so that, despite the busy road outside the tranquility of the gardens is almost “zen”.
The interior has a shabby chic rustic decor. Plain whites are complemented by old barn beams and rough hewn stone trim. Solid walnut oiled floors run throughout the home with a traditional flag stone floor in the lanai to passively store the winter sun or be warmed around the inglenook. We’re proud to add this Mississauga custom home to our list of successful projects completed in the area and look forward to the GTA home show to see if this home has got what it takes to clinch the award!!!
