In 2001, our founder Fil Capuano took up the baton to manage this remarkable project, along with the core Chatsworth team members. Among the many challenges was the building of the Chapel of St. Francis, designed to follow in the footsteps of many European “family chapels”. The interior had to feel that it was centuries old.
A little known fact, Chelster Hall was constructed of Concrete (ICF) Styrofoam blocks and garnered the North American award at the NAtional Building Show in the USA. When started in 2001, this ICF provided not only a leading edge high performance insulated solution, but also proved to be an economical alternative to traditional concrete and steel structure.
